New Amsterdam Records
New Amsterdam (NewAm) is a record label and artist’s service organization that supports artists in developing their most personal visions, centered around recording projects. Judd is one of the founders of the label, and currently serves as Executive and Co-Artistic Director, the latter with fellow founders William Brittelle and Sarah Kirkland Snider.
NOW Ensemble
NOW Ensemble is a chamber ensemble dedicated to performing new works for their unique instrumentation of flute, clarinet, electric guitar, double bass, and piano. Judd is a founding member and has written many of his most well-known works for the group.
Ecstatic Music Festival
The Ecstatic Music Festival was, for 13 years, a music series and festival at New York’s Merkin Concert Hall that brought together collaborations and special projects from across the musical landscape. Judd was the founder and Artistic Director for the duration of the festival.
Apples & Olives Festival
Based in Zürich, Switzerland, the Apples & Olives Festival brings artists from the US, Switzerland, and beyond together for genre-fluid programs that collectively create a unique space in the European music scene. Judd is one of the festival’s founders and currently serves as a co-director.
